Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this player will play 3D movies, but I believe most manufacturers are no longer including 3D televisions in their product line up. The current marketing emphasis has shifted to 4K (3840 x 2160 resolution) HDR (high dynamic range) televisions. 4K is typically not advantageous in most current A/V setups because of viewing distance relative to screen sizes purchased. The higher resolution televisions can be viewed from a much closer distance, based on human eye acuity, allowing a viewing experience closer to theater if set up in this manner. HDR (high dynamic range) is advantageous in all home situations. If available the best configuration at this time would seem to be 1920 x 1080 television with HDR and passive 3D based on the OLED technology, or much larger screens so the higher resolution of 4K is usable.
