It might depend on what the player is hooked up to. I'd need more information about your set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Jen, The player needs to be connected to a TV for initial setup. The disc playback should start automatically. However, if playback did not start, you may need to navigate to the Home Menu screen and select Video, Music, or Photo, depending on the content of the disc. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would have to have your TV on for sound. Or use a Bluetooth headset that is paired to the player.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only way you could play an audio cd without connecting to the TV would be to connect it to a sound system using the digital audio coaxial output or a blue tooth speaker, and I am not sure about it's capabilities in that respect. Otherwise you need to connect it to your TV and turn the TV to the input that your 4K player is hooked up to and then hit play on the 4K. You would probably just see a blank screen with the Sony Logo or either the CD band and song info. But you would need to run an hdmi cable from the player to the tv to even get that.
