Mine did the same thing. My TV was 4k, but not HDR compatible. It upgrade blu rays to near 4k, but reverts to 1080p/24 with 4k HDR discs. Seems stupid, but regular blu rays play in better quality than 4k HDR movies. I took mine back since I already have a player that upgrades to near 4k.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This does not sound right. When I play a 4K disc the player displays "4K/24p" on the top left when I hit the display button. It is possible that you might need a better cable or your settings are incorrect.
