No movies come with player, and promo has ended in June. However prices reduced on unit, so you can buy your own. However, 4K movies are still expensive at around $50 apiece.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine did not come with any movies but there was a promotion to register and get 2 free movies in the mail.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There aren't any disks in the box. The 4K movies come from Sony Pictures, a subsidiary of Sony in Hollywood. What I think the Amazon reviewer meant to say is that you get a coupon in the box with a code to order two 4K movies from Sony Pictures who makes the movies. Sony Pictures calls this promo a "bundle". It doesn't mean these movies are physically bundled in the box with the player. So, if you buy the UBP-X800 player between now and June 15th, you can get two of Sony Pictures 4K movies free as part of their "bundle" promo. It works. I got my 2 movies in less than a week. They are packaged the same as any Sony BD movies you'd buy at retail, like Best Buy. They come with a code to put them on the Sony/UltraViolet cloud also. So, you'll be able to stream them from the cloud on your phone whenever they invent the 4K mobile phone or tablet which also supports ultra-high data rate download over cell towers. I can't wait to see what my phone bill will be with such service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The promo from Sony is for two free movies that you get by registering the product and they send them to you by mail. There are no movies "in the box".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, you have to send code in to redeem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I will answer my own question. Simply, no. Unless the Amazon reviewer received some "special promotional item" or something of the like, than they are wrong; there are no "freebies" movies bundled in the box with this player. I just picked mine up yesterday from Best Buy in the store and can verify this. Like others have posted, you must register your product via Sony's product registration website, wait a few days for a confirmation email with a code, redeem said code on Sony's "Sony Pictures Store" website and choose two free movies to be mailed to your house.
