You need a cable that has a rating of 18GBS or better. They can get pricey, the one I bought was 49.00 At best buy its an audio quest "SKY". Its a higher end cable. The outside casing of the cable is black with blue accents. It also made a difference in the picture when I used my old HDMI. So I checked both and I did see a difference.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most all HDMI cables are 4k ready so just buy a 20 to 40 dollar one unless you don't mind paying 80 and up for the audio quest cables. Honestly any will work just perfect for this player but gold plated ones are always perfected. The main thing to keep in mind when buying a HDMI is length make sure the cable will be long enough without being excessive in length. Hope this helps you when buying a cable.

You don't need a HDMI 2.0 cable, this one is HDMI 1.4 and works great with HDR. This one is only $5.99 regular price: Dynex™ - 6' 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable - Black Model: DX-SF116
