Hi Joyis642, It is recommended to connect the unit to a 4K TV to enjoy its full capabilities. You may encounter issues when playing 4K videos. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The output to tv is HDMI. If you have an HDTV it will be fine. 4K TV is not required. But you will only get as good a picture as your tv will support. If you do not have an HDMI input for your TV it will not work for you.
