Standard bluray will if u have the unit settitngs set to output 4K and the hdr setting to auto look about the same as a 4K bluray but a dvd will be upscaled to 4k you might notice a color bleed or artifacts and or picture noise but it will look better than 480 or 720 at 60hz which is about max resolution for most dvd players so they look marginally better
