A:AnswerYes. DVDs (regular and Blu-Ray) and programming with 5.1 Surround (accessed to the streaming channels available on the DVD player) sounbd great on my home surround system.
A:AnswerI just had to do an upgrade—machine “informed me” by sitting there and humming but didn’t respond to normal commands or resetting via power downs.
Finally figured out the issue, downloaded the update and all was fine and worked well.
Control also handles the TV if it’s Samsung.
Love it!!
A:AnswerChromecast can access HBO Go if you have it on a tablet or phone. This item doesn't have preloaded apps like the Apple tv. I use my iPad apps to cast to the Chromecast.
A:AnswerHi Claudia, yes, this player will work with your KDL-40V5100. You will need an HDMI cable for you to be able to use it with your TV. Thanks, -Mark
A:AnswerI have played several of my DVD’s without any issues and have also played WMA (music) files from the USB drive as well. One suggestion is to have your music in category files for easier selection and random playing. Overall, I have been really happy with this device. Netflix also runs much better than my old DVD player which made the family happy!
A:AnswerYES, mine does the exact same thing. I did an online chat with Sony to ask them about it, and the representative said that it's a normal sound. It is most definitely not a normal sound. I moved the device to a noisier room where I can't hear the clicking sound.
A:AnswerHi There! this player supports Region Code A (BD) and 1 (DVD). The region code settings for a Blu-ray Disc player device cannot be changed via software modification.
