• This player does not play UHD (4k) discs. It only up scales regular blue ray discs to "near" 4K resolution.

• As of now being they are pre-order I don't think they'll play 4k disc's, just upscale (enhance, up convert) your Blu-ray 1080p disc's. This is being promoted as more of a high end audio player, Premium Audio and Video player with High Resolution Audio " The Play Anything Player " for audio. • No UHD disc playback which pretty much makes this player obsolete. No multi-channel analog outs either. So, basically you're paying an extra $250 for DVD-A playback. Why not just get a Oppo 103 for a little more?
