- Answer This player does not play UHD (4k) discs. It only up scales regular blue ray discs to "near" 4K resolution.

QuestionDoes the Sony UHP-H1 unit play the format SA-CD? According to Sony.Com, the symbol for SA-CD is shown on the back of the unit But on the diagram on BestBuy. Com this symbol is NOT on the back of the unit nor is this format mentioned!

- Answer Remember when upscaling DVD players came out that would take SD DVDs and upconvert them to near-Blu-ray levels? This is the same idea - taking a Blu-ray and upconverting them to near-4K resolution. It is not a 4K UHD player, however.

QuestionDoes this model have a DIGITAL DISPLAY of the time elapsed when playing DVDs AND of the tracks and timing when playing CDs? A pause button? I am about to return an LG player, which does play CDs, but displays NOTHING. It has nothing but an on/off lite!

- Answer Hi TomT, You can view the playback information, etc., by pressing DISPLAY button. The displayed information differs depending on the disc type and player status. QuestionDoes the Sony UHP-H1 play DVD/Blu-Ray in Slow Motion BACKWARDS along with slow motion forward ?? Have 2 Blu-Ray players from the same manufacturer - one plays Slow Motion Backwards (and of course forward) and Newer one does NOT play Slow Motion Backwards.
