A:AnswerThe difference you'll see depends on what you are comparing it to. After using this player for a few weeks now, I am certain the upscaler in my 80" TV is better than this player's upscale function. I've tried many different settings to tweak it. I will say that this device should be thought of as a versatile audio device/ Blu-Ray player that will play all but UHD Blu-Ray Discs. Sound is fine after letting play for about 48 hrs straight. Try not to judge when first coming on. It was a bit harsh and then became much better over time using analog outs. Video upscaler works fine, better than less expensive Sony 55" 4K TV, but don't expect it to best the upscaler built into an $8200 80" TV.
