If you connect this unit to your soundbar using an optical cable while the soundbar is connected to the TV via HDMI, there is a high likelihood that it will not function properly. Typically, the optical port on a soundbar serves only as an input, not as an output. Therefore, if you connect the SRSULT900 to the soundbar via optical, the soundbar will expect to receive audio rather than send it out. We recommend the following options: 1. Connect the SRS via Bluetooth to the TV, if possible. 2. Look for compatible rear speakers or subwoofers for your soundbar. We hope you find this information helpful.
