Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You plug the walkman into the computer with the power cord and a file will pop up on the desktop called sony walkman. I use iTunes and you simply just drag the music you want and drop it into the walkman file called music and then it downloads. I have only used my walkman with a Mac computer, so it may be slightly different with other pcs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can transfer music to it from a PC simply by drag and drop. If using a micro SD card for additional storage it needs to be inserted into Sony and then formatted there, Under Setting, Device Settings, Reset Format. Then it will put a folder named MUSIC. Formatting card on PC will not work. If you want to use the Sony you can pull the card out, plug into the PC using a card reader. The card will show in Windows Explorer and when opened you will see the Folder MUSIC. Drag and drop from explorer into that folder. Folder structure needs to be “Album Artist/Album” to be recognized and ‘databased’ by the Sony once the card is again inserted. The card can be left in the Sony and if it’s plugged into PC USB you will see the same, the Micro SD card and the Sony internal 16Gb memory. Files can be copied the same way, drag and dropped, into the folder named MUSIC. It takes a while, so I rather unmount the card and copy music to it directly on Explorer without the Sony.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Open whatever media device you use on your computer (Windows Media Player for example) and plug the USB into your computer with the other end attached to the Sony. It should guide you from there.
