“What is the maximum number of songs that this player can can recognize? My last player maxed out at 14,999 files which was excellent considering that I had over 13,500 songs on it. Also, can it shuffle through available songs?”

The internal storage is said to hold 20,000 songs, but it is capable of using microsd cards as well. I stuck a 128gb card into mine and it has my entire music collection, at this point, on it. That is 855 folders, 10,566 songs and that has chewed up 54.27gb's of space. They are not all the same file format. So I still have the internal and remainder of the card memory for more. It will vary greatly depending on what format you have your music in.
