• A:Answer yes. it's easy if you use sony's own software, though but you can use other. you have to rip the cds into your computer. you can designate. a lossless format. I use flac. once you've ripped the music into the computer. the software can transfer the music to your device.

• A:Answer You download or transfer music to its internal memory or add a Micro SD card for additional storage. You can only play music out of the headphone out, but that can be plugged to a a receiver or bluetooth speaker with Aux in. Of course any headphone with a mini stereo plug works. It does not stream music, but it has a Bluetooth receiver, so it can be connected to a mobile phone for example and then stream music from the phone to it and output it to headphones or other system using the Sony’s better DAC converter for a better sound. Battery last up to 45hrs depending on format of the music files being played. A long time. It takes about 4hrs to fully charge. In Setting there is an option for better battery life and prevents it from charging above 90%, that’s news to me.

• A:Answer Yes, but first select Genre and then once you play the first song click the random play icone on the left and all the songs on that Genre will play randomly. Same goes for All songs or Songs in an Album.

• A:Answer There us no app capability so you can't use audible or anything like that but if you have downloaded audiobooks then, yes, but just be sure everything is labeled correctly or you might find the tracks are a complete mess and have to redo it. This was something that happened to me.

• A:Answer You can, but I don't expect this player to play them. One thing with this player, it doesn't have bookmark pieces for time locations in files. So while you can probably convert the files to be WMA Voice or HE-AAC to save space, you can't really save your spot in the file on the player... if you want audio books, you might want an ipod for that.
