Hi Multitasker, the noise canceling function works primarily on noise in the low-frequency band. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled. The noise-cancelling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely cancelled. I hope this helps! Thanks. -Jess
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The noise canceling works as a user when there is sound in the room around you. For example if you’re commuting and trying to listen to music you don’t hear other commuters and noises as loud. It works rather well for this use. As far as users being on the phone talking to someone else the noise canceling has no affect on what they hear on their end. They still pick up all the noise in the background.
