It's job is to upsample/reconstruct any audio coming in. A welcome addition to help uncripple any bluetooth audio source that (by design) suffers from loss of audio quality due to compression. This audio loss is present on EVERY bluetooth device and is necessary to combat low bandwidth present on bluetooth connections.
