“Why can't these switch between headset mode (VOIP call) and headphone mode (Spotify) on my laptop. After taking a VOIP call, I have to open the sound settings to enable headphone and disable headset. Doesn't always pick up call when Spotify is playing.”

not sure what is wrong with these ones, but it actually happens like you describe. Is awful and the only way you can get it work is to pair them again or restart your phone while your earbuds are inside the case (or forgot the item, then look for it and pair it like if it were new). I feel you :(
