I bought these headphones today because of the responses to those question, so I wanted to come back and contribute. The cups rest right outside of my ears. My ears are average size and I have an industrial in one ear (short bar, no excess bar in front or behind) and a helix piercing in the other. Thus far I haven’t experienced any discomfort or pressure.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They sit around it like a hollowed out pillow. I say that as the cushioning is very very comfortable, breathable and since they completely envelope your ear you shouldn't have much trouble, if at all.
