• It worked for us when we plugged it in to the DVR/Cable box. As for simultaneously, yes someone can wear the headset and others can hear it through the speakers.

• Hi, Ron! Connect the headphones to your TV. No, you cannot use the headphones and your AV receiver speaker simultaneously. Regards, David
