“Is there a way to have the output of these speakers be the same as the center channel? Or a way to set all speakers to be mono, instead of 5.1? I am trying to add more speakers simply to get more volume, not always for surround sound.”

No, these speakers only function for 5.1 or better surround sound. I was hoping they would interact with the center output to make music more dynamic, but they strictly function as rear channel speakers and nothing else.
