“Can the camera record AND charge the battery at the same time via the USB or optional power supply? Can the optional power supply run the camera without the need to have a batter in it? Want to rec without bat dying, even if it is tethered...wired ok.”

• Hi Jack! Charging via USB cable (supplied) is not possible when the camera is turned on. -Anthony

• The camera can record and charge the battery at the same time via the optional A/C adapter. The optional adapter can run the camera without the need of a battery.
