Questionif i want this to record my sons basketball games - is this a good option?? I have a hard time looking thru a device and also watching the game, besides looking silly in the stands does anyone think this would be a good option??? thanks kb

- Answer No. The purpose of this camera is to provide a first persons perspective to the action - meaning this camera is designed for your son to wear while he is playing basketball, not you as a spectator. In theory you could use it to record the game with the Sony video watch that can be purchased separately but the video would be choppy and you would not be able to zoom in or out in any way. You are also very limited in feature from this perspective. If your son could wear this camera - that is one thing, but you would want a traditional camcorder if you are intending on video graphing from the sidelines. Hope this helps.

QuestionDoes this come with a charging cradle for the battery or does it charge in the camera? If it's in the camera is there a cradle I can buy to charge extra batteries?

- Answer Hi Lemonz, the battery is charged within the camera via the supplied USB cable. We recommend using the BCTRX travel charger to charge the NPBX1 battery outside of the unit. Thanks_Mitch

QuestionCan the camera record AND charge the battery at the same time via the USB or optional power supply? Can the optional power supply run the camera without the need to have a batter in it? Want to rec without bat dying, even if it is tethered...wired ok.

- Answer Hi Millpond, the video is recorded in 720p when shooting in XAVC S HD format. You can record for 155 minutes when using a 32GB card. Thanks_Mitch

- Answer Hi Kiran, the FDRX1000V doesn't have an internal memory. You can use micro SD/SDHC/SDXC cards of with to 128GB capacity with this camera. Thanks_Mitch
