Q: QuestionMy husband is hard of hearing and needs TV VERY loud. If this wireless speaker is placed near him while watching TV, can the TV then be put on normal volume. TV is new and we have wireless internet?

• A:Answer The Sony - XB10 Portable Bluetooth Speaker uses Bluetooth to receive the sound from the device, in your case from the TV. If the TV has a Bluetooth Transmitter, then the answer is Yes - it can be used for your husband to put it near by and listen. It has great volume. While many newer TVs have both a Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver, many older and even some new TVs have only a Bluetooth Receiver. If your TV does not have a Bluetooth Transmitter, you can add one that plugs into the earphone jack on the TV. The add on Bluetooth Transmitters range in price, but a low end one can be purchased for around $10 and is probably sufficient for your described use. Look at your TVs specifications to see whether or not it has a Bluetooth Transmitter as well as a Receiver. If you can't find your TV manual or if it doesn't have specifications for Bluetooth, search on the Internet (using your TV's make, model, and product number) for your TV,s specifications.

Q: QuestionI have a tablet with low volume. People are saying this speaker is loud. My question is...how loud? I have a 60 foot long barn with 20 ft ceilings. Is it loud enough to fill that space while I'm working up there?

• A:Answer Hi Warmblood! If you're looking to fill that sort of space, particularly with exposed wood (..assuming is like a more traditional barn), I'd recommend you invest in a larger speaker. This unit is great and I'm extremely happy with it from both a sound and quality perspective. That being said, it's attached to my golf bag and I'm usually on 20-30 ft. away. For that large of a space I'd be willing to bet you'd have the volume maxed out on this unit and would start to hear the distortion creep in. Better off going for a larger unit.
