• A:Answer If you leave it outside the hot tub. It is not waterproof, just spash resistance. Even if you get a waterproof speaker, I would caution dumping it in the hot tub. Check that it can take the hot temperature. Heat is the enemy of lithium rechargeable batteries. It will shorten its life.

I believe that's what it is but I don't really recall how much they give you back. I know it increases the more you spend so it's not too bad. Just ask your local Best Buy!
