Hi, Byron, The orange light indicator means the unit is still charging. The charging time may vary depending on the amount of power your computer can output through the USB port. Using a USB AC adaptor (not supplied) to charge this unit is an option. Check out the links below for more details from the information above: http://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb20/v1/en/contents/TP0001270358.html http://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-xb20/v1/en/contents/TP0001270358.html Best regards, Vincent
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First charge is crucial... I recommend charging your speaker *before* you use it for it's first time. Computer USB doesn't have the amperage this speaker needs. Volts and Amps are not the same... On a PC USB will take way longer than phone charger or wall USB outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A USB port on a current does not provide a big enough current. Just use the charger you use for your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you do not. Mine does it too sometimes after being fully charged. Try using a wall outlet. Just get a box for like a phone cord and use that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do know your computer must be on the whole time it is charging. I don't know if your computer goes to an automatic shut-down after a period of time.
