• Yes it can. I have a classic ipod and with an auxilary cord it works great!

• Yes, you have to use 1/8"(3.5 mm) audio cable with two male plugs!

• It has an Audio input - AUX...if your ipod can stream the output via AUX cable in your Car etc... then it should work with this speaker too..
