- Answer Hi JANET, they have almost the same feature. The main difference is the size and weight. The XB40 is bigger and heavier than the XB30. Thanks! ^Ron

QuestionI want to use a bluetooth transmitter (digital audio ) from my tv to a set of xb30 speakers. Transmitters are APTX and speakers are LDAC. Will latency be an issue.

- Answer I'm pretty sure these will default back to normal Bluetooth transmission. You need both receiver and transmitter to be compatible with APTX in order to see any benefits. For best results with bluetooth speakers and TVs, I would get a transmitter and speaker that is compatible with APTX Low Latency. Qualcomm recommends a transmission of 40 ms or less in order to make sound and image synchronized.

- Answer I Can Only Use It In Small Area's Like The Bathroom If You Want Something For Outside, Loud & Covers A Soccer Field You Don't Want This Speaker. If You Want Something Like That The AR Bluetooth Lanterns At Costco Are What Your Looking For.

- Answer No, the USB port on the speaker is only to power other devices. It has no transcoder in it.

- Answer I have not tried through Chromecast. Frankly Chromecast does not work well with Spotify. If I were to connect it would be through my phone-spotify-bluetooth-sony. That works.

- Answer The remote would e the app. You can change the volume and lighting sequences. Also switch the lights off. The bass/mid/treble can also be adjusted. Along with extra bass on/off. Must use app for these features.

- Answer I have the xb20 and xb30 and I had them paired together and sitting about 30 or 40 feet from each other with no issues. This was in the same open room.
