I used to own the 950AP's and the sound between the two are not too different. The 950's are around the ear cups, so you get a very immersive and isolating sound experience. While the 550's are on ear cup and can have just a slight bleeding in of outside noise. (Unless, you turn the volume on max.) But, overall, they sound very similar. I own the 950BT's and just use them as home only headphones and they have the bass boost option which the wired version doesn't have. The 550's are my knock around headphones that I can toss in a backpack or use at the gym. I know a lot of stores are clearancing out the 950AP's so you might find a pair between $50-$90 depending if any stores have them in stock. The 550's are $50 in most stores nationwide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The bass is excellent. I haven't tried the Sony model , but the Sony is about three times the price and that model is an over the ear type so I would expect the Sony to have better bass.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Much like the audio quality of the bluetooth versions (650 and 950) the bigger the number, the better the sound, from what I heard. Bass is adequate but not brain thumping but there's a good balance when listening to normalized videos on YouTube. The only difference is in the quality of MP3's if created by an app that didn't rip the with HQ audio but that's not the fault of the headphones. I personally like them considering they are relatively inexpensive compared to other options these days. . .and at least I don't have to worry about running out of battery while listening. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure about the other set you are referring to, but these are good for the price. They are wired and therefore not blue tooth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sound quality was quite poor. I would not waste my money on these
