“The picture looks like these are ON EAR versus OVER EAR like it says in the description. BB has other Sony headphones with same model number that say OVER EAR at 199.00 with pics that look like they are over ear. So which ones are these for 99.00?”

These are over the ear
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These are considered on ear but they are so comfortable, they feel like over ear. Usually over ear are oval shaped (to contour your ear) and on ear are more round. Check the model number because the 950's are over the ear but the 650's are not!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.While the XB650BT's may fit over the ear on someone with small ears, they are pretty much ON EAR. The more expensive XBR950's on the other hand have a larger "cup" and easily qualify as OVER EAR for my wife and even though I have large ears they just about cover my as well. Just my ear lobes stick out.
