• Try making sure the Bluetooth devices sound is up all the way and then adjust the headsets volume to what your preference is.

• I have not experienced any hiss at all. You may have a defective set or it may be the phone or device that you are using with it. I would suggest that you try another device or return your purchase or contact Sony for warranty coverage.

• I have heard no hissing at all in mine and would suggest you return them to the seller or contact Sony. I also suggest you try them with a different cell phone to see if maybe it is your phone causing the trouble. If the device you have them connected to is not a phone, try them with a phone.... I would think it is the device causing the problem, not the Sony MDR-XB70 itself.
