• These are not ANC active noise cancellation earbuds. They use passive noise reduction by using the seal of the ear tips to block noise. The white noise is used to mask any ambient sounds that may occur. If desired they can be used without any of the ambient sounds, however there may be some ambient noise that may get thru.
