• When I purchased this item and received it in the mail, the box came with a sticker on the front of the package stating that it "ONLY FITS MacBook Pro 15 with Retina display (June 2012-May 2015 models)". I've included an image of the sticker, which I've edited to include a contradicting sticker found on the other side of the box. This image was intended for my review of this product. From what this sticker stated, this case/shell would not fit your 2010 15" MacBook Pro model. Since your question was posted about two weeks ago, I hope you found a case/shell that is compatible with your MacBook, and I hope this has helped!
