“I have just purchased this today and first thing i notice is loud fan noise and overheating of laptop.CPU usage is less that 10%. Anyone else faced the same issue ,is this the problem with all models or could be just the one i got ?”

I had the same problem, the laptop sounded like a plane taking off and I was about to return the laptop. I updated the BIOS using HP support Assistant, turned off the laptop till it cooled down and powered up again. Since then I have not get any fan noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have noticed the same thing. I have a spectre with the 7th gen i7 and it does run cooler than this one. Spectres has tendency to run warm.
