Laptops are mobile. Therefore they use smaller, weaker processors. If you tried to put a full sized desktop in a laptop you would have a bad time. You can identify the type of processor by the suffix at the end. Ultrabooks tend to have "U" at the the end of the processor, which stands for "Ultra low power", or "Ultraportable" or whatever. That means they consume less power to maximize battery life. That isn't important with desktops, like "K" or "T" which maximize performance. Gaming laptops that need more more power might have an intel processor with a suffix of "HQ" or "HK", the latter really only appearing on the biggest behemoths
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is only a 15 watt processor even though it has 4 cores. A desktop processor like the i7 7700k is a 91 watt (I believe) processor. The more watts the more heat. So in a laptop that is this thin you can't get rid of the heat. That's why they use low power processors.
