Hello! We recommend using HE detergent, but the type or brand is up to your needs or preference. If you've noticed a residue at the end of the cycle, this could be a sign that too much detergent was added, or that the water temperature isn't warm enough to dissolve the powder, or that you may have hard water. So, you could try reducing the amount of detergent (we usually recommend 1-2 tablespoons for a full load) or you could try using a warmer wash temperature. If you live in an area with hard water, you could add a water softener or even distilled white vinegar to help combat the mineral reaction between hard water and detergent.
