Will this work on carpet or just smooth floors? null

It does work on carpet but better on floors. It picks up hair on the carpet and gets stuck on the wheels and hair makes it run slower.

smooth floors, possibly a low pile carpet, like in a office building

It works on both. Transition between the two isn’t good. Tends to get stuck on the edge of the carpet. The front leg needs a wheel

Mostly smooth floors work the best but some carpet ie. longer shag may slow it down or stop it. So I would recommend smooth floors definitely.
