“How long is the battery life and what kind of batteries”

the battery life depends on a lot of things , motion detectors settings , what type of things you want the camera to do, because they have alarms and lights. when i am home during the day, i may turn my off or make them snooze for a 8 hours. my last 2 weeks average, thats with one battery installed, . i bought 2 extra battery's to change them out. they do hold 2 battery's at one time. you have to set that up at the time of set up., hope this helps. you find out things as you work with it and the more you read up on it
