“What is the purpose of the plastic tab in the center of the front cross bar? It looks like its the only thing that's different from the KSTK1 and there's nothing about it in the instructions.”

According to an answer from an LG expert on Lg website, this tab in the front center is a bluetooth device that will allow you to control the dryer controls from the washer instead of reaching up to the dryer each time. Ive been looking into switching my stacking kit to this one for that purpose. On the LG thinQ app there was an update to allow dual control, only if you have this kit with that tab in the center front. Hope that helps!
