“Plastic Support Pieces in Stacking Kit The guys from Best Buy who delivered and installed the SK5A stacking kit on my WF3 Series Washer and Dryer only used the 2 steel support brackets, they did not use the 2 long Plastic support bars in the box. Are these necessary? where do they go on the dryer? Do they need to be re-installed?”

Thanks for the question. Both the long chrome-colored plastic pieces and one pair of the steel brackets that comes in the SK-5A stacking kit should be used when stacking the dryer on top of the washer. The steel brackets that attach to the back of the washer and dryer are critical for keeping the dryer attached securely; the longer side brackets help to reduce vibration and keep the dryer centered on the washer. They snap into place then are secured with screws on the bottom of the dryer prior to lifting it on top of the washer, and also help to provide a buffer between the dryer and washer.
