“I need to set up dual screens. Right now I have a VGA split cable but all it does is duplicate the original screen. Would the Display port to vga video converter be what I needed in order to achieve the extended screen with a second monitor???”

• You need to go into your display settings and change it to extend. On windows you can also press the windows key and the letter p to change dual monitor mode.

• No, what you need is a special video card that will support multi monitor display if your mother board does not support it.
