- Answer The docking station is great for adding monitors to a laptop. You use one USB port in your laptop and can attach two monitors. I currently am using 2 external monitors and my laptop display so I have 3 monitors to spread my work over. It also has additional USB ports so you are not losing the one you plug the docking station into. When I want to take my laptop on the road, I only have that one cable and the power to unplug, instead of two monitor cables, USB printer and power.

- Answer Yes, once you have your dual monitor set-up, you will just need to change the Display Setting on your laptop to "Extend" instead of "Duplicate" what's on your laptop to the monitors.

QuestionI see that a disc comes with the package. My laptop doesn't have a disc drive. Would I still be able to use this docking station? Or is the disc needed to load anything to the laptop?

- Answer Yes, I've connected the docking port to an HP laptop in the past. I no longer use HP equipment, since everything seems to be connected to the mother ship slowing down the computer.

- Answer The docking station plugs into the laptop via USB cable and it has 4 additional USB ports and 2 DVI ports. No HDMI or VGA ports but it does come with HDMI to DVI and VGA to DVI addapter plugs. Monitor to docking station is DVI, laptop to docking station is USB.
