• I use it to extend. I have my small 11.1" laptop screen extended across 2 and sometimes 3 monitors with this.

• Yes it does allow extendibam using double monitor and extend mode When I open my laptop one of the two monitor stop working and goes to one monitor and laptop mode So I have not figured out yet to have 3 screens !
