SM21BMU31C3 is strictly for SATA based M.2 SSD. It will not work with PCIe/NVMe based M.2, such as the SK Hynix HFS256GD9TNG L3A0B. Brandon, StarTech.com Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The product says it's for Sata only m.2 drives. I hadn't realized that when the BestBuy guy ordered mine for me. I ended up buying a different one from Amazon because BestBuy doesn't sell the PCIe enclosure. I ended up buying the SSK Aluminum m.2 NVME enclosure. I wouldn't waste your time on this one. Unfortunately, I live almost an hour from bestbuy, so I ended up eating the $35.
