“2 questions: 1. how is this cam powered, usb, outlet, batteries and if so what size? 2. it says mini sd card and I am sure that is the same as micro sd card but for $99 I am asking are they the same? I would like to order from best buy in the next 24 hrs”

This item is powered by an internal battery or a power connection. No, this unit does not use microSD.
