• This headset is unpowered, and as such it draws no power from the device to which it's connected and uses no batteries. This does mean that if plugged into your PS4 controller that it might run your controller battery down faster since you're adding an audio stream to the controller's connection, and because the controller now has to use a little power to produce the sound for the headphones.

• Not sure on how much battery drain. I use an xbox. It connects to my controller. I recommend 2 rechargeable batteries.
