I now work from home at a call center. I needed a new microphone headset. This works perfectly! Background noise (ex. Dog barking, neighbors being loud, lawn mowers, etc.) has dramatically reduced. I also like the fact that I can hear what I’m saying in my ears when I talk. Almost like when you plug your ears and talk. That makes it easy to not get distracted. I usually don’t write reviews but this one deserved it. Especially for the price. Hope this helps!

It works very good when I’m playing video games. The only thing I don’t like is where the mute button is located.

I bought 3 headsets, $50 and less. Razer- Kraken X, HyperX & Steele Series Artic 1. I use PC and xbox and stream. Steele serries had more accurate sounding when it came to footsteps. I feel like I won more games with this headset. There's no play back. Mic is flexible. And headset is comfortable. Not heavy. And looks good on me. Gave the Razer to my 4 year old because it looked small and fit him real good. He loves it. Gave the Hyper X to my boyfriend who has dreads and they fit very well on him. Also with Steele Series it is easy to disconnect from PC. The Razer headset had a small plug grip and I had a hard time getting the plug out of my computer, with Steele Series it was very easy.

Worked really great for my son about 9 months until he got the chord caught in the wheel of a rolling chair and ripped it out of the port. If I was using it, I am sure I would still have it and be happy. I put it on a few times while he walked me through a game and it sounded great on my end, now complaints on the mic either. Great value.

I don't know much about headphones. I bought a 2600w three way speaker system... 18" woofers, 20khz tweeters etc... cause awesome. I can turn it up and its like being at the concert!!!! Then the GF moved in and bogarted my TV. Now I'm forced to wear headphones cause she wants to watch her youtube stuff. =( I've used and liked several Razer products (mice and keyboards) so we tried the Kraken X (~$50 USD). It sounded ok, but broke within three weeks. My giant head may be to blame? But where you extend each earpiece is all plastic. And it broke. Best Buy, to their credit, gave a full refund. I asked the gf to not purchase anything new, but she insisted and came home with these. This is a huge improvement. Again, I'm not familiar with headphones, but comparatively, these sound better, have more space for my ears so they're not cramped, and have a nice breathable material, so wearing them for extended periods is more comfortable. Plus, it appears to all be made of metal so it should be much more durable. Cause SteelSeries? Very good product at a reasonable price. If they do break I'll come back and change this, but so far so good.

I purchased this headset for my daughter. Here are the things we like about the headset. 1. Comfort - She's picky about the feel of the ear padding and didn't like the feel of other headsets we tried. She felt the material on the ear padding of this headset was very comfortable when she tried it and after using it for several weeks for hours at a time, she still likes it. She also likes that the earphones don't have as much clamping pressure on her head as others she has used, making them more comfortable to use for longer periods of time. 2. Sound - She likes the sound quality of the headphones. She uses them for listening to music, gaming and chatting with friends and family. She feels they have better quality sound than other headsets she has used. 3. Construction - I like the design and materials used because the headset seems to be sturdy and I believe it will last under hard use. (somewhat likely with teenagers) 4. Removable mic - My daughter likes that she can easily remove the mic when she's not using it. She does this freqently. I didn't expect that this would matter but she likes not having it in the way and it's a guaranteed "mute" mode when she wants it. :) That's about it. Highly recommended for the price.

These headphones have good sound quality and a decent quality microphone. I have also found them comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The detachable microphone has also proven helpful in making the headset easier to store when not in use. The price feels very fair. Overall, good quality for a good price.

I'm so glad to get a recommendation from a supervisor to get these for work. These ear cuffs are the most comfortable ones that I have ever had! I like that I can hear myself. You can take the mic off if you want, They can be used for Discord. The mute button is on one of the ear cuffs. Love em'

Right out of the box, they're very pretty! the cushions feel really nice to the touch, and when you put the headset on, it's snug enough to feel secure and not move around when you move your head, but not restrictive. The cushions also sit around your ears instead of on them (which is nice if you have piercings!), and this helps make the sound come through a little more naturally and more like surround sound vs just being blasted into your ears. The sound quality is very nice, too. I really like that the mic is not only easily adjustable and very flexibile, but that it's also removable, and the headphones have volume and mic settings on the left side. Overall, I really enjoy these headphones for the price.

This headset is so comfortable for a normal size head it stays on your head and the ear cushions are so plushy. The audio is also great and has decent bass. If your playing call of duty or something you can hear all the footsteps the earcups also swivel so it’s great for adjustability. It also has a very solid build quality and doesn’t feel cheap out of my 3 weeks of use they are holding up very nice and they feel Leigh’s weight on your head. It has a very clear microphone and the microphone is detachable so if your not using it and it annoying you you can simply just take it off and if you want to mute it all you gotta do is flip the switch on the back of the headphones that’s also where you control the audio. In all a great headset from SteelSeries!

The Razer BlackShark V2 wireless headset is a good gaming headset for PC. It's lightweight with comfortable fitting earmuffs, excellent sound quality for gaming and listening to music, and decent overall construction despite it's relatively low weight. It comes with everything you need including a charger, a wireless USB adapter, a detachable microphone, and a fabric bag to store everything in. The controls are simple and function well. My only complaint is that the adjustment sliders seem oddly designed, like you're moving the earmuffs up and down on paperclips instead of a solid plastic or metal slider. So far that hasn't caused any functional problems, but it's evident that it's a rather fragile part of the whole package, so you'll want to avoid droping them on hard surfaces. For $145 I think they could have done better with the overal construction of the headset, as it's lightweight nature, while very comfortable for long gaming sessions, also leaves it feeling a bit flimsy. Most of the money seems to have gone into the speakers, which do provide exceptionally high quality audio, but nothing that isn't comparable to other gaming headsets within this price range, so shop around before you pull the trigger on these. Overall, I would recommend this headset to PC gamers who enjoy long gaming sessions and have a dedicated space to store this headset, as it probably won't fare very well just being tossed around haphazardly. I think there are other headsets with better build quality and comparable audio quality within the price range, but that better build quality often manifests as additional weight, so if you really want a comfortable, lightweight headset that provides exceptionally good audio quality, I would recommend this headset.

These are very high quality, I use them daily and they remain comfortable and durable. It's also very flexible even lying flat during shipping. The microphone is also replaceable if needed. The connection is that of a single 4-pole headphone jack common on computers and some phones. There is an adapter to split the connection to a pair of 3-pole connectors common on older computers. The only negative is that without the adapter, the wire is rather short (4 feet) so you'll probably want an extension if you won't be using the adapter which is 6 feet long.

I've owned this headset for about a week and it was immediately evident that the build quality is superior to my previous headset (a Razer). I wanted an analog connection since my computers tend to have high quality audio hardware built-in, and because USB headsets can often be finicky. This headset is not a studio quality monitor headset but nor is it meant to be; it sounds quite good for what it does and it's surprisingly comfortable. You can't really see in the photos but the ear cups are set at a small angle to the headband and the result is that they lie over my ears far more comfortably than any other headset I've used (including for aviation). My friends tell me that they hear me better now than with any other mic I've used, but of course with this being an analog device it does depend on the hardware built into your computer. I'm really happy with my purchase.

Good basic headphones. I really like the feature of the plug-in detachable microphone, which makes it possible for me to game and speak, or just use them as audio headphones without the mic in the way. Very thoughtful design. The sound is crisp, no complaints. Another good feature is that they’re lightweight, so they don’t feel burdensome to wear. I’m pleased with them so far.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this headset. I use it for remote work, listening to music and Discord group calls. Easy to use, they were literally plug in and play. I have sensitive ears and the ability to turn down the volume on the headset itself with a dial is fantastic! This is especially useful during group calls when everyone is attempting to adjust microphone and speaker levels. The location of the mute button took some getting used to but is fairly easy to use. Detachable mic makes it easy to store when not in use or when listening to music. Microphone quality is pretty good for the price. Headset is very comfortable with lots of padding.

I bought these for my son when his other headphones broke. He says these are really comfy and he likes that he can take off the microphone if he wants. Each ear piece also twists so that nice also. It cancels out outside noises as well.
