There's 2 different models of the exact same headset. Same price, but one is for certain consoles and the other is for the other consoles. I went to pick this one up in-store and noticed the same, had to go find the "different" one (it had an orange box) and that one had the cheaper protection plan.

They told me that the Geek Squad replacement for the PS4/PS5 model is the OLDER type of protection versus the one on the Xbox Wireless model. Supposedly, Best Buy internally is upgrading, and re-pricing Geek Squad protection plans. The PS4/PS5 model has the older, less effective protection plan ($69), while the newer plan ($129) offers the most protection against accidental issues. In the end, I ended up buying Total Tech Support ($199/year) as it makes all of my Geek Squad protection plans free. For just $70 more ($129 vs. $199), it's a way better offer in my opinion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably due to the fact that the PC/Xbox version has a special security chip in there for Xbox. Other than that I cannot think of a good reason for it. No other headsets did this in the past so it is confusing.
