yes , bluetooth is just an added option the dac handles everything else

You plug the USB into your pc and connect the usb-c to the base station (usb port not Xbox) then the headset connects to the base station via bluetooth. It has nothing to do with the bluetooth connection on the pc everything is done through the base station. I have had Astros for 10+ years they are great but this headset is far superior and more comfortable and better sound/quality over all just a better headset.
