• A:Answer Depends: Mouse weight is a preference, a wired mouse is lighter than wireless since you don't need batteries and/or charging circuity. You also don't need to recharge or replace your batteries since the power comes from the system. Wired mice are almost always Plug-N-Play, only using software for macros and RGB. And wired connections almost always perform faster and more secure than any wireless solution. That said, some people don't like wires; they tangle, they pull, they get snagged, etc. With the proper technology they can be nearly and secure as a wired connection. And if you like a heaver mouse, would you rather that weight be something the device uses, or just steel weights? The only thing I would avoid is a wireless mouse with a non-user-replaceable battery. Once the battery goes bad(which is only a matter of time), you need to replace the entire mouse.
